P.A.M. Dirac, a British physicist, predicted the pair creation phenomenon in 1925.
His research indicated the presence of an unobservable sea of particles under physical matter.
Instead of two separate particles being formed, an electron is released from an infinite sea of particles below empty space, according to Dirac's theory, which predicted the positron, the anti electron.
When a particle is removed from the sea, the remaining particle acts as the antiparticle.
